Gunnar Hagstrom

As Chief Program Officer, Gunnar works closely with each PPI site to capture and share best practices as well as leads the implementation of projects that PPI conducts under the banner of Technical Assistance. Gunnar joined PeacePlayers International – Cyprus as a Fellow in early 2010.  Previously, he worked for two years as an Assistant Men’s Basketball coach for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). At MIT, Gunnar worked in all aspects of the program and helped lead MIT to its first two D3 NCAA Tournament Appearances. Gunnar graduated from Clark University, in Worcester, Mass., in 2007 with a degree in Business. He received his Masters in Business Administration, also from Clark University, in 2008. While at Clark, Gunnar was a four-year member of both the Men’s Basketball and Men’s Baseball Teams. Gunnar was awarded the Clark University Russ Granger award for Athletic Achievement and Academic Excellence in 2007. Gunnar grew up in Yarmouth, Maine, and graduated from Yarmouth High School in 2003, where he played basketball, baseball and soccer.
