Jasmine was born and raised in Waterville, Maine.  Jasmine played basketball from elementary school through the collegiate level and beyond.  Her high school basketball accolades include being part of a three-year undefeated girl’s basketball team that won the state championship three years in a row.  Jasmine went on to play basketball for Thomas College, where she was named captain of the women’s basketball team her senior year. While at Thomas College she earned her Bachelors degree in Sports Management and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Jasmine Bishop joins the Northern Ireland PeacePlayers International team directly after completing a fellowship in Rwanda, Africa, with Shooting Touch out of Boston, Massachusetts. She taught underprivileged youth not only about health and wellness, but also life skills through the sport of basketball. Wanting to continue the same work of sport for development, Jasmine came across PeacePlayers International.

After taking a couple weeks off to spend with family and friends back in the states, Jasmine journeyed to Northern Ireland where she joins the PPI-NI team and will be able to expand her work and love of basketball and being able to give back to different communities.  In addition to watching Disney movies, Jasmine enjoys basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, and spending time with family and friends.
