Being involved in sports has always been a part of Jess’s life. She grew up in southern California, in a city Rancho Santa Margarita, about an hour south of LA. Jess played soccer and lacrosse, both in and outside of school but could be found playing most other sports out there. After graduating Trabuco Hills High School, she joined the club lacrosse and ultimate Frisbee teams at Pacific Lutheran University up in Tacoma, WA but spend most of her time investing in the local
community. In 2015 Jess graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Global Studies.
Following graduation, Jess spent the next 2 years working for non-profits both in DC and in Chennai, India. From there she moved to Belfast and completed her MSc in Psychology of Childhood Adversity, combining her passion for social justice and international development with childhood trauma. While studying and counselling young people, Jess discovered PeacePlayers and was so encouraged to find community development married with sport- focused curriculum. She is so excited to get back into the sports realm whilst empowering youth in their local community.
