Joe graduated with a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2011 with a degree in Political Science. While at St. Mary’s, he helped the Seahawk Men’s basketball team to 3 CAC championships, 2 Sweet 16’s and an Elite 8 appearance. After graduation, Joe went to work at his Alma Mater, DeMatha High School, as a History, Health and Physical Education teacher. He also served as the schools head freshman basketball coach, as well as assistant tennis and cross-country coach. After 2 years at DeMatha, Joe moved on to the collegiate ranks as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Lycoming College under Head Coach Guy Rancourt. While at Lycoming, Joe helped the Warriors to their 19th winning season in the last 20 years.
Joe began his work with PeacePlayers in August of 2014 as an International Fellow in Northern Ireland. While a Fellow, he helped support program delivery, curriculum development, communications and development. After completion of the fellowship in June 2016, he came on board as the Organizational Learning Specialist in the Washington D.C. office. His role will support an organizational-wide effort to analyze PPI’s year-round programs and consolidate best practices to support the enhancement of program performance.
