Leif (pronounced life) has been playing sports his whole life. He grew up in the Adirondack Park, which is located in New York State about 5 hours north of New York City. In his class of 26, Leif excelled at athletics ranging from soccer (football), alpine skiing, basketball, track and field, to Tai Kwon Do. Following high school, Leif had the opportunity to compete in Track and Field at the Varsity level at St. Lawrence University where he earned Indoor Rookie of the Year. In 2013 he graduated from St. Lawrence University with a degree in Government and History.
In 2015 Leif moved to Belfast as a Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) where he served in a local church, and also with PeacePlayers. While his role was limited within PeacePlayers, he had the opportunity to coach, help in the office, and go on residentials. Leif then went on to serve a second year with the YAV program in New York City where he worked with older peoples in Senior Centers. His role was to promote a Healthy, Engaged, and Connected life within the Centers.
Leif obsesses over Fantasy EPL Football (soccer), enjoys traveling, watches cartoons, reads comics, watches a lot of sci-fi and fantasy, and loves the mountains. Leif is very excited to be in Belfast as Fellow.
