Taylor Brown has been with PeacePlayers since 2010, serving as an Operations Intern, International Fellow in South Africa, Operations Consultant and currently as the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer.
Taylor’s prior work experience includes 3 years in the audit department with RSM, a top international accounting firm, with a focus on non-profit clients. Taylor also spent the 2009-10 season with the Wollongong Hawks; an Australian community based non-profit professional basketball organization as a Basketball and Business Operations Consultant, and 5 summers on the staff at Camp Dudley, YMCA, a non-profit summer camp located in Westport, New York, where he is an active alumnus.
Taylor earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from San Diego State University, where his thesis focused on the strengthening of PeacePlayers International’s Monitoring and Evaluation systems and processes, and a Bachelor of Science (Finance and Accounting double major) degree from Fairfield University’s Charles F. Dolan School of Business. He earned a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy in Spring 2016. Taylor also serves as an Adjunct Professor and Capstone Advisor in Georgetown University’s Sports Industry Management Master’s Program, teaching Social Responsibility and Globalization in Sports and Applied Ethics & Governance in Sports.
Taylor is an International Association of Amateur Basketball Officials (IAABO) referee, currently working high school games in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
Taylor lives in Reston, Virginia with his wife, Jenna, and enjoys the outdoors, travel, sports, playing jazz and volunteerism.
