Thank you for helping PeacePlayers celebrate equality through sport!

A message from our Executive Director:

Over this past weekend, our PeacePlayers family celebrated communities coming together in Baltimore, Brooklyn, and Detroit.  As part of the one-year anniversary of our partnership with Nike, and in celebration of the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., we brought our global learnings home and united in using the power of sport to inspire people to take action in their communities.

I encourage you to watch this message from Tobias Harris of the Detroit Pistons who has joined us in showing that if we can play together, we can live together.  We are grateful to Tobias and the Pistons, including our board member, Arn Tellem, Vice Chairman of Palace Sports & Entertainment, for their commitment to help foster safe and thriving local communities.

PeacePlayers is proud to be part of the Equality initiative with Nike.  Over the coming weeks please take some time to visit www.nike.com/equality to upload your own photo to the global #EQUALITY mosaic or stop by a Nike store in markets including New York City, Los Angeles and more to take a photo and share your message in-person.  You can also visit our website at https://www.peaceplayers.org/equality/ to watch our new video trailer on our efforts in the U.S. and to learn more about how to get involved.

In 2018 we will be working to expand our programming in the United States while continuing our valuable work around the globe bridging divides and developing leaders.  On Monday,  Oklahoma City Thunder GM Sam Presti announced a donation to help us unite police and youth in Oklahoma City.

With your help, we remain committed to optimize the impact of teaching people to understand and embrace the differences among neighbors in their local communities through the power of sport.

Thank you for helping us to celebrate and we look forward to hearing your own messages of championing equality through sport.
